In recent weeks, Weller wrote no less “optimistically” about the studio’s situation on the official Iron Tower forum.

Fortunately, things are going much better for CS than for AoD in all respects — just not enough for the team to start thinking about a sequel. Even with support from the community through Patreon or Kickstarter. Therefore, as Weller wrote, Iron Tower will focus on developing Colony Ship until the end of 2024. Perhaps by then the situation will improve — if the developers are lucky. Or they will receive help of a different kind.

News of Iron Tower Studios’ problems (some even mention the possibility of the studio closing) did not please two YouTubers: Warlockracy and Mandalore Gaming. The latter in his post (via X) hinted that he would prepare material dedicated to Colony Ship, and Weller expressed cautious enthusiasm about its potential impact on the studio’s situation in a Steam post.

The developer directly stated that Mandalore is “one of the largest authorities” in the field of tactical role-playing games (his YouTube channel has over 874,000 subscribers). As Weller said, if this YouTuber’s video doesn’t help Colony Ship, then there is no hope.

Colony Ship made its debut on the market in November 2023 and quickly gained recognition from gamers. However, the game has been reviewed by just over 2,000 Steam users.
