Ambitious multiplayer action game Dune Awakening on Unreal Engine 5 from developers at Funcom studio still does not have a release date. Some insiders claim that the game will be released by the end of this year, while others believe that it will not be released until mid-2025. It is not entirely clear who to believe, but today’s leak absolutely confirms the final stage of production. Screenshots of the latest relevant build of Dune Awakening have been leaked online, which already looks quite polished.

The published shots demonstrate real gameplay of the action game in the famous “Dune” universe. In addition, you can see the entire user interface, including the skill tree and other auxiliary navigation elements.

The images were shared by a user named SnooOranges3876. He does not specify where he got the screenshots of the current build of Dune Awakening, but hints at some connections with the game’s testing team. According to the leak author, the active testing phase of the game has been going on for over 400 hours of real time.

Separate testing team, as well as developers from Funcom, are involved in testing Dune Awakening. They work closely together to smooth out certain mechanics and fix bugs before the game is released. This may indicate that the project’s release may actually take place this year.
